Description: 38 inch overall heighth with a 6' x 6' black marble base. The urn part is painted metal. The chains and tassles are attached yet free swinging. The shade may or may not be original.
No identifying marks were found, at least not that the current owner could find. The underside is a type of brown protective oil paper or somesuch. It did not feel like leather nor fabric. The lamp previously belonged to a wealthy world-traveler, so it could have come from anywhere, but has been in central Illinois for a minimum of 12 years or a maximum of 60 years with the family. The lamp is quite heavy, no scale available but probably weighs between 10-15 lbs.
