Description: This cask is about 12" long and 5" at the ends. There are no proof marks or stamped areas. At first glance it looks to bea brandy/ wine/ whiskey barrel. But thinking out of the box brings me to an oil fired keg lamp. No wick inside. The moon and stars for decoration but the raised fill or chimney does seem to serve a purpose. Also an attached cap or snuff would sometimes indicate a fired area. Last the spout or breather seems high to pour from, bringing the fill area to overflow. I have many hours trying to identify this tem. Good luck !!
