I can't register on this site, my mom tried as well, it always says it can't verify after the email, I'm just seeing if the photos will at least upload from PC
It appears to be hand carved, and it has a hollow, rounded traingular hole carved through the length of it for some reason. I thought maybe it was a holder or dispenser for something because of that. My dad thinks it's some kind of hair accessory. It's about 3" long, 1.5" wide, 1" tall at it's highest point. I inherited it from my grandfather and can't figure out what it's made of or what it's hollow and head/tail-less for. The shell markings and feet are very detailed. I live in NM, USA, but don't know anything about it's history. The plastron is notched on the wrong side from an actual turtle based on the direction of the feet, but otherwise looks carved very intricately like a tortoise.
