Description: 1850 - 1900?


Item is 10in tall w/lid, lid only is 4 in, 9 in from handle point to handle point.


Item is hand engraved and embossed with a motif that appears to be tribal South American, such as Aztec or Inca.


Quadruple plate.


The bottom is stamp engraved "Derby Quadruple Plate Derby CT" #1604 with a hand etched phrase '264X - 5'


Item is tarnished, but otherwise undamaged.


I would very much appreciate an appraisal as well as possibly a date and what the item is.
