Description: LATE 19TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY AMERICAN, CREWELWORK EMBROIDERED, WALL HANGING, OR MORE LIKLEY, A RUG. IT HAS SOME TRADITIONAL JACOBEAN MOTIFS AND SOME "FOREIGN" KASHMIR MOTIFS INTERMIXED. THE RUG MEASURES 70 BY 100 INCHES. THE FOOT AND A HALF SEPARATION OF THE BACKING IS AN EASY FIX, REQUIRING VERY LITTLE EFFORT! OTHERWISE IT IS A FANTASTIC AND SCARCE, [YOU DON'T SEE VERY MANY LIKE THIS , IN THIS CONDITION], TEXTILE.
Keywords: late 18th century tapestry/rug
