Description: Had several people say it is a "Wiil Box" or a "Bank Box". Has Some sort of Safe-Type Key to it.

Also says "S.Mordan & Co. Makers" on lock but have had no luck searching them.

Aquired from 2012 Grand henham steam rally as well as WW2 dated 30 cal. Box.

I just want to know what it is and where it would have been used, i am not looking to sell this so i am not really interested about the value but i am curious about its background.

It looks as if from the key it would be used to store something quite important/valuble but i really dont have any idea.
