Description: Years ago I found an old artifact in the mountains of Tennessee. I had to break it out of rock to collect it. I have no idea what it is, and as I was still a child, can't remember where exactly in the mountains I found it. All I know about it, is that it's slightly magnetic and it was made to stand on its own without assistance. It doesn't seem to have had a handle (unless the handle was integrated into the one foot that appears to have corroded away the most). There is no lip or any place that would give a firm hold with any kind of clasp. The build is heavily made, probably to safely handle a hot substance. The shape is tapered to a smaller OD toward the top, from the bottom, yet the ID is tapered to a larger size toward the top from the bottom. The piece is about the size of a shotglass and as you can see, it appears to have had four areas of protrusion on the bottom, seemingly to be feet. It looks to have maybe enough hollow space to hold enough material for one MAYBE two musket ball sized objects.
