Description: Was hoping someone can identify this object.
It appears to be some sort of Capsule appears to be copper, non-magnetic, which originally had a removal top. Since then has top and bottom damaged. has slight groves from top to bottom of bottom half. Top cap has symbols around the top. Six of same symbol. I found this object below the sands of a riverbed, known as the patriots path in Morristown, NJ. This is a sight of where the Washington's men marched along. Not sure how old this is, but was hoping it might be from that time period. Ideas Anyone? Unfortunately, I cannot upload any pictures. I'll try back at a later time.
