Description: This unknown item measures 22" x 8.5". It appears to have been used in the making or production of something. The board is sections of pine with a mahogany and brass border. At one end a section of the mahogany pivots revealing compartments containing 50 or more 9" steel pins the thickness of a thick sewing needle. On the pine surface there are patterns of impressions (photo) made presumably by the pins. No markings, it was found at a yard sale in Massachusetts.
Thanks for the help.
