A few weeks ago, I was at an estate sale in Baton Rouge, LA--USA. I bought a wrought iron butler bell pull. The family could not tell me much about it. They knew their mother had traveled to Europe. They also knew she had it forever. It is very beautiful. I have been searching online and haven't been able to find much. The closest thing I have seen is the bell pull at Audley End in Essex. (See link to flicker: http://www.flickr.com/photos/71256895@N00/3691735160/)
I have contacted Audley End multiple times; they never answer their phoneIf you could tell me how old it might be or where you think it came from that would be great. Or if you know anyone who might know and could put me in touch...that would be wonderful as well. The iron work is about 6 feet long. The iron chain is another 2 or 3 feet.
I appreciate any assistance or guidance you would be willing to give. I also have additional pictures if you need them.
