Description: I have been unable to find anyone who knows what this is. At first glance it appears to be a book, but when opened, it is a sealed object, having a brass dial, which is divided into seven sections, four the same size, two smaller. Each section is sub-divided by lines, and at the end of the lines is a hole. When you turn the knurled wheel at the top of the object, the dial turns counter-clockwise, and a little pin above the button at the bottom of the dial clicks into a hole.
