Description: Help please. This imposing pair of chairs has been in my family home for over 70 years. They have a strong wood frame with carved (walnut probably) details on back, legs and arms. The seats are deep and wide, very roomy and comfortable. I believe they are English in origin and probably date to the early 1900s or late 1800s (from what I have seen on the web they might be called Library or Parlor chairs??). The seats are 24 inches deep; width between the armrests is 21 inches; width from outside to outside armrest is 32 inches; the carved wood back is 26 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches high; and the full height of the chair to the top of the back is 42 inches. Can anyone help positively identify them and give me an idea of what they might be worth?
