Description: All I know thus far is the type of saber it is. I am looking for any and all answers as to price, restoration costs etc. Currently is is great condition, heavy patina on the blade, and on the hilt. Still a very tight lock on the scabbard. On the scabbard there is engraved the number 54, what does this mean? On one side of the ricasso is engraved N.P. Ames Cabotville 1846, and on the other side of the ricasso US NWP is engraved. Upon the pommel, although faint is W A J is this a person? Appraisals are welcome, more pictures available.
