Description: I would appreciate anybody responding w/ info concerning this black pottery creamer.

There is no maker's mark, so I suspect that it's a knock-off of black basalt pottery developed in the 18th century.

This belonged to my English grandmother (a Yorkshire lass), who married a Oxfordshire lad here in El Dorado, Kansas in 1910. Whether the creamer was sent to the U.S. or purchased here, I cannot say.

Would appreciate a stab at its value, too.

Many thanks!
