Description: I have a rock came from the Mojave desert where an active gold mine still exists. It appears to have gold and turquoise perhaps from A vein. It is remarkably heavy, a couple pounds. I want to have it identified and appraised and ultimately sold. I care about money, not rocks. I'm not a collector I don't care to keep it, I want to sell it if its worth anything and I believe it is. Can anyone steer me to a local appraiser who will look at it, be honest, and not charge me. ?? What do y'all think? I know there's many rocks that mimic turquoise and gold, but given the area it came from its highly likely it could very well be the real deal. The weight of the rock exceeds a pound or more, my scales don't go high enough to weigh it. It's not more than a few inches across either, I'm having problems uploading a picture but if you can message me directly ill send you pics directly. The pictures really don't do it justice. Where can i take this?
