Description: What is the value of the stick?

This stick was game used and signed by Karlis Skrastins. It has a COA from at the time called Bank Atlantic Center. The guy who signed the COA is the manager of the equipment in the store at Bank Atlantic Center. The stick is an Easton s17. I got the stick in early 2011.

For those, who do not know, Karlis Skrastins was one of the best shot blockers in my opinion. He played in 832 NHL games. It seemed like every time that he was on the ice, he was always laying down on the ground to block shots. It's difficult information to find, but in 2009-2010 season he was ranked 15th with 156 blocked shots. Something that I noticed from watching many many games, Keith Ballard who played with Skrastins on defense for the Panthers didn't really block shots and dive to the ground like Skrastins did. But in that same year that Skrastins was ranked 15th, Kieth Ballard started to block shots very well with Skrastins and the next thing you can see is that Ballard was ranked 3rd with 201 shots blocked. So in other words, it seems to me that Ballard learned a little something from Skrastins.

Another important point that I believe adds value to this stick is that Skrastins was going to play his first game with Lokomotiv in the KHL. The plane that he was on crashed and very sadly everyone, including Skrastins were all killed.

R.I.P. all of the people that were on that plane.
