Description:

Never been used! The ball is in pristine condition!
It comes with the original box. The box itself has some wear and tear, since it has been lying around for a few decades!
The ball was given to my mother as a present from an American friend in the late 1950s or early 60s.
The box reads:
H. Harwood & Sons, Inc.
Natick, MASS., USA
Baseball Manufacturers Since 1858
The ball is stamped with the following:
The Harwood Trademark
"Harwood Official League"
"No. CC
Horsehide Cover
Cushioned Cork Center"

I believe you have this ball posted for sale on ebay right now, so you probably already have the information that I'm posting, but here's what I've found:
There was a package of 7 vintage baseballs sold at auction for $101.11. 3 of these were Harwood baseballs, identical to the one that you have. There were also 2 MacGregor 65C baseballs, 1 MacGregor B65 baseball, and 1 Spalding 165 41-135 baseball. Also included was a large master box (approximately 12" x 9") that had some wear with the top side flap separated and the bottom corner split.
Though not entirely accurate, this would imply that the Harwood baseball is worth somewhere around $20 US. Even though it has "Official League" stamped on the baseball, this does not generally mean too much. Almost all baseballs have something like this stamped on them. Were it an "official" baseball made for Major League Baseball (either the American League or National League), it would be worth considerably more.
