Description: I have not been able to identify or find anything similar online about this small metal bowl / tray.
The sides are to me an unknown metal ( bronze, brass, pewter etc. ) and the bottom of the bowl is glass. On the under side of the glass is a deep carving of an man riding an elephant. With a thin layer of metal coating the carved portion of the elephant. Only one mark, Germany is located on the underside of the bowl which is in the 3rd picture. I would really like any help figuring out the history of this item. Thank you in advance.
