Black Cat Cigarette Mirror.
Carreras Limited (established 1788) London, England.
Appears to be hand painted glass mirror.
About 2ft by 3ft.
I did a lot of research on the various logos that the Black Cat company has used over time and this one appears to be from an earlier period.
At the top of the piece it says BLACK CAT.
Underneath that the word CIGARETTE is encased in a slightly arched form painted on top of a red base and a gold border.
Then the Black Cat logo is a gold circle... with a black border..... inside is the bust of a black cat with green eyes... underneath the cat is the words "trademark" spelled out in a decorative ribbon form..... and under that, the initials J.J.C.
Below the logo is the word VIRGINIA very bold in almost a teal color with a double border of gold and black.
And on the very bottom the words
CARRERAS LIMITED
established 1788
LONDON, ENGLAND
Wondering if it an original work of art from the Carreras trademark or if it is a reproduction.
