Description:
|
Are these Cigarette holders???
They are about 3” long
The smoking end is made of a hard plastic or celluloid ?? and this end pulls out to about 1/3 inch. When pushed in, it also serves to line the holder where the cigarette itself would be
The end where the cigarette would go may be tin and is approx. 3/8” diameter
The rest isn't metal... and it isn't plastic... maybe a tightly rolled, hardened paper?
Reads "Chalfonte Haddon Hall" in script; "Atlantic City NJ" in a print font.
Some background about the hotel: CHH was the premiere hotel in Atlantic City beginning in 1900. In 1942, it became a military care center, the Thomas England General Hospital, and was used by Army Air Force recruits for the duration of the war. In 1976, when casino gambling was legalized in New Jersey, the hotel became Resorts International Casino Hotel.
