Description: This oak and steel item has been made into a coffee table. The seller didn't know what the top was. To me it looks like some sort of luggage rack from a train, car or carriage. It could also be part of an industrial operation where boxes or parts that would wear a wood surface quickly, slide on the steel raised surfaces. It is very well made with some decoration on the sides that make it seem like it was mass produced not a one-of-a-kind item.
