Description: This mask has been in my family for as long as I can remember. The African hand carved mask has four horns on the head. these horns have small copper strips aroung the top end of the four horns, and at the base of the horns. the height is about one foot. It has two small round holes for eyes, one is higher than the other. It has an elongated nose, a small pouting mouth, much like the mouth on a Teke. The face of the mask is also covered with copper plating and small rusty nails. It also has a hollowed out back. Please tell me if this mask could be authentic, a decorating piece, or a novelty. It seems to be an african mask, but I'm not sure. If authentic could you give a round about appraisal. Thank You
