Description: I got this old top loading icebox from my great grandmother, 40 years ago. She lived in Calumet City, IL. I think the wood is walnut, nothing like I have ever seen before. The 2 ice compartments on top seem to be lined with tin. Dimensions are 36"(w) x 24"(d) x 38"(h).. and very heavy. No markings of any kind that would identify the manufacturer. However, on the inside door is what appears to be writing, that I can't make out (instructions??). Any help you can provide would be great, and I am curious what the value may be. ~Dave...
