Description: EPNS, cut glass and English oak base, about dinner plate sized on base, height about 45 cms. I purchased it in Marburg, Australia. The timber press is the size & shape of half a mandarin. If it was a citrus press it seems like the juice would not flow through the skin. I’m thinking it maybe to collect citrus oils, but is seems to be a Butler’s juicer for table service. Possibly a meat or pomegranate juicer?
The two large and two small bowls are fixed, so not used to hold/pour liquid. The glass dishes are removable. Possible uses for bowls are spices, condiments, seeds or skin scraps.
It appears to have two silver holders on either side of twister handle for perhaps spoons, scewers or tongs.
