Description: This was an antique already in 1957 when it was given as a gift to my aunt who wrote on a piece of paper found inside this canister, "antique hand-painted canister, gift from XXX, Montpelier, VT, 1957." The measurements are: 9" long; 6.5" wide; 9" high. It has a hand-painted decorated top. It's metal with a hinged door; painted teal inside, black outside. Not sure what it is, I cannot find any others like this on the internet. No identifying stamps, numbers, logos, or markings . Doesn't appear to have ever been attached to anything.
