Description: I recovered this while demolishing an old building at the old Hercules dynamite plant in Magna Utah (it's now an aerospace rocket motor manufacturing facility). The "H.P.C. #30" I assume stands for "Hercules Powder Company" since that's who owned the dynamite plant. It measures about 4" across, 2-1/2" tall and 7" tall overall counting the handle. The inside is divided into two equal halves. One side had old decaying matches, the other side had matches that had been struck. The lid is spring loaded and is lifted by inserting a finger and pulling up. It doesn't lock open.
