Description: Heavily zinc plated steel, or maybe brass (sorry, didn't take good enough notes!). About 3.5 inches in width. Hollow on the reverse. At first glance it appears to be the heel of a shoe. My Dad collected all manner of old things, and I found this in his stuff. I don't remember the story of what it was used for and would like to know its purpose. Thank you!
