Description: Top of Old Smoke Stack - 45" diameter (heavy)

Purchased at estate sale in Washington, DC. Seller said it was approximately 50 years old. The magnet test worked - magnet sticks, so it is a ferrous alloy (either iron, nickel, and cobalt - not sure). Six (6) sections, appear welded together. Conic, cylindrical in shape.

- What is it? Top of smoke stack, damper, or kiln?
- Any ideas?

Suggestions welcome! Thanks! ;^)
