Description: No date of manufacture, identification tag, labels, stamps logos or markings. Upper unit left upper corner has rectangular area and two holes where a tag may have been. IMO this was a government or military specified item that was decommissioned and passed through Army/Navy surplus. I picked it up in an alley in Galveston,TX in the mid-eighties. Everything in photos is as I found it. Photos reflect two separate units of three stackable sub-units. The bottom unit sits on a stand. The top unit has a finished cover. Dimensions:
LxWxH lower sub-units (3) 32 3/4” x 18” x 8 1/4” (total=24 3/4”).
LxWxH lower unit stand 32 3/4” x 17 3/4” x 5 3/4”.
LxWxH upper sub-units (3) 17 1/2“ x 17 1/2“
“ x 7“ (total=21”).
Pulls on lower unit drawers formed in one piece with label holder, riveted and non-magnetic.
Pulls on upper unit Small drawers Formed in one piece with label holder, riveted and non-magnetic.
Pull on upper unit large bottom drawer typical “C”-shaped With no label holder. Attached with round slotted-head bolts and non-magnetic.
The lock on the upper unit bottom drawer appears to be original. Part of an “A” and the letters L and E are visible where the paint has chipped off (Yale). An “L”-shaped stainless bracket covers the top and back of the lock and is screwed in place rendering lock non-functional.
Top edges of sub-units recessed to receive sub-unit above.
Sub-units lock to the sub-unit above by a swiveling dog on each side.
